Power Factor came out in 1993, developed by Hand Made Software and published by Atari Corporation: the player takes on the role of an undercover agent who must infiltrate enemy facilities, advancing through side-scrolling settings while shooting guards and dodging traps, in a direct-action formula with an eighties espionage setting. Its level structure with sector bosses brings it close to the run-and-guns of the era. It's one of the many pure action cartridges that sustained the Lynx catalog through its mid-life stretch, with no great narrative ambitions but a gameplay pace well calibrated for short games.
