Super Off Road arrived on the Lynx in 1993, developed by Leland Interactive Media and published by Telegames, as a conversion of the late-80s arcade Ironman Ivan Stewart's Super Off Road: short truck races on dirt tracks full of jumps and tight turns, with the option to use the money earned in each race to upgrade the vehicle's engine, acceleration, and suspension between one competition and the next. That layer of progression set it apart from other more straightforward racing games in the catalog. It's one of the Lynx's best-loved arcade conversions, thanks to a short-game pace that fits the handheld format perfectly.
