Warbirds arrived in 1991, developed and published by Atari Corporation: one-on-one or player-versus-computer air combat, with propeller planes maneuvering across the sky while the player tries to get on a rival's tail to open fire, all rendered from a first-person cockpit view. Its look draws directly on the aviation of the first half of the twentieth century, an era barely touched by the rest of the period's air-combat catalog. It's one of the most accessible flight simulators the Lynx ever had, built for quick rounds of maneuvering and marksmanship rather than an exhaustive flight simulation.
