Wing War, published by Imagic in 1983 exclusively for the Atari 2600's European PAL market, puts the player in command of a dragon that must survive in hostile and varied landscapes, collecting crystals that boost its chances of survival and rescuing dragon eggs to ensure its species' continuity. That mix of action and a conservation-minded goal sets it apart from most fantasy shooters and platformers of the era, more focused on pure destruction. Having never been released in North America, it's one of those catalog rarities only European 2600 collectors know firsthand.
