Hydra arrived on the Lynx in 1992, developed and published by NuFX: the player competes in an armed speedboat through water circuits, combining the speed of a traditional race with direct combat against rivals, in a formula that anticipated the race-and-shoot mix that series like Wipeout would later popularize. The design of narrow channels and tight turns demanded both driving reflexes and good aim. It's one of the most original racing games in the Lynx catalog, thanks to that uncommon combination of aquatic speed and direct combat between competitors.
