The Amazing Spider-Man is one of many adaptations of the Marvel superhero for Nintendo's handheld, with platforming and action levels in which Peter Parker web-slings, dodges enemies, and faces off against classic villains from his rogues' gallery. As with much licensed gaming of the era, faithfulness to the character came more through the costume than through especially ambitious gameplay.
Today it's mostly remembered as part of the long list of Spider-Man games that accompanied different console generations: a modest but honest chapter in the parallel saga the publisher built game by game.
