Ace Golf is one of the many budget golf titles that filled GameCube's European catalog, with generic courses and simplified handling aimed at a casual audience rather than genre fans who already had Mario Golf or Tiger Woods PGA Tour as their reference. There's no great licensing or realism ambition behind it. In that sense it's a minor game: interesting today mostly as an example of how the PAL market received low-cost versions of popular genres, made to sell cheap rather than to leave a mark.
