Baten Kaitos: Owaranai Tsubasa to Ushinawareta Umi (Eternal Wings and the Lost Ocean in the West) combined a card-based combat system with a story set in a world of floating islands, the result of the collaboration between Monolith Soft and tri-Crescendo under Namco's wing.
It's one of the most ambitious and original JRPGs the console ever had, with an art direction and soundtrack still cited today as high points of GameCube's Japanese role-playing catalog.
This system doesn't run in the browser yet (Dreamcast, GameCube, PS2 and Xbox are on the way as web emulation matures). The dossier, media and community are already all yours.
