Batman: Vengeance, developed by Ubisoft Montreal and published by Ubisoft in 2001, adapts the look of Batman: The Animated Series and its sequels to build an action adventure with stealth stretches, use of the Batarang and other gadgets, and melee fights against classic villains like the Joker or Bane. The visual design, very faithful to Bruce Timm's style, was one of its most praised aspects. It's one of the few Batman games of that era that managed to capture the animated series' tone well in a video game, and although the gameplay has aged with the typical limitations of the PS2/GameCube era, it remains a beloved title among those who grew up with that version of the character.
