Bionicle, developed by Argonaut Games and published by Eidos Interactive in 2003, adapts the LEGO toy line of the same name into an action-adventure where the six Toa -biomechanical elemental warriors- explore the island of Mata Nui, battling the Rahi corrupted by Makuta's forces. The design closely follows the mythology LEGO had built in comics and books to accompany the sets' release. It's a fairly standard licensed product for its time -simple combat, linear exploration- whose main interest today lies in the nostalgia of those who collected the Bionicle figures, one of LEGO's most beloved lines of the early 2000s.
