The only entry in the Castlevania series originally developed for Mega Drive, with a protagonist distinct from the usual Belmonts, whipping his way through gothic creatures across castles and swamps. Its classic horror atmosphere and demanding difficulty honor the series' formula, despite the technical differences compared to the Nintendo entries.
