A sequel to Taito's horizontal shooter, with expanded branching routes and mechanized aquatic bosses even more elaborate than in the original entry. It keeps the series' underwater visual identity, cementing Darius as one of the most recognizable shooting franchises of the arcade era brought to home consoles.
