Paradigm Entertainment, the same studio behind Pilotwings 64, built in Beetle Adventure Racing an arcade racer with extremely long tracks, hidden shortcuts, and an excellent sense of speed for the era, all starring —paradoxically— the Volkswagen Beetle. Electronic Arts published it in 1999.
Over the years it earned a reputation as a hidden gem: technically it's one of the most solid games in the console's racing catalog, and for many it beat out rivals with more marketing behind them in sheer fun.
