Akumajou Dracula - Sougetsu no Juujika ("the crescent moon cross") is the Japanese name for Castlevania - Dawn of Sorrow (2005), a continuation of Aria of Sorrow that brings back Soma Cruz and his ability to absorb and use the souls of defeated enemies, now with the addition of seals drawn with the stylus to finish off bosses. Konami, under Koji Igarashi's direction, kept the formula of non-linear exploration, character upgrades, and backtracking that defined the subgenre since Symphony of the Night.
It's one of the most celebrated entries in the saga's DS era, praised for the fluidity of its combat and the depth of its soul system; it remains, for much of the specialized press, one of the best portable Castlevania games.
