Blood of Bahamut is an action RPG developed by Nautilus, with Square Enix as publisher, following Baret, a hunter who accidentally absorbs the soul of the dragon Bahamut and must use that power to face an empire at war. The game relies on dynamic real-time combat with dragon transformations as its central resource.
It also reached the West under the same name, and although it didn't achieve the impact of other Square Enix RPGs on DS, it's another example of how the company used Nintendo's handheld as a lab for action-RPG concepts on a more modest scale than its major sagas.
