Following the sales phenomenon of Dr. Kawashima's Brain Training, dozens of publishers rushed to release their own versions of the concept: short calculation, memory, and logic exercises timed against the clock, with the promise of a "brain age" or score that improves with daily practice. Brain Boost is one of those versions without much to distinguish it from its competitors.
There's not much setting it apart from the rest of the genre besides the name; it is, in essence, a testament to how saturated that niche became in just a couple of years.
