Judgement Silversword - Rebirth Edition is the vertical shooter that the independent designer known as "M-KAI" coded using WonderWitch, the C development kit that Qute offered for building homebrew software on the WonderSwan. The game won a contest Qute ran among amateur programmers, which earned it an official retail release in 2004, already carrying the subtitle "Rebirth Edition" since Bandai had discontinued the WonderSwan line a year earlier.
That print run, capped at just five hundred copies, turned it over time into one of the most coveted and expensive WonderSwan Color cartridges on the collector's market. In 2018 it got an official second life on PC, relaunched on Steam as Judgement Silversword - Resurrection, which finally let it reach an audience far wider than the original handheld's.
