120 Yen no Haru - 120 Yen Stories is an adventure title published only in Japan, whose name refers to the price of a canned drink from a vending machine — the excuse for weaving together short slice-of-life tales. It's one of those niche products that never left its home market and about which little information circulates outside Japan, so any plot detail should be taken with a grain of salt.
Today it survives as a catalog curiosity, the kind of game that shows up in lists of PS2 rarities more than in collective memory. For anyone researching the more intimate, less-exported side of the console's Japanese catalog, it's an interesting piece; for everyone else, just one more name among the thousands that never crossed the ocean.
