12Riven is the spiritual continuation of Ever17 and Remember11, the visual novel trilogy studio KID built around mysteries of physics and altered perception. This PS2 version carries over the branching-narrative, plot-twist style typical of the label, centered on a psychic phenomenon dubbed "Psi-Climinal" that entangles its protagonists in a dense sci-fi plot, deliberately confusing in its opening hours. It's a niche title even in Japan, made for those already familiar with the series who wanted to close the narrative circle Ever17 had opened years earlier. Today it mostly appeals to visual novel readers up for a demanding script, rather than to anyone looking for action or conventional mechanics.
This system doesn't run in the browser yet (Dreamcast, GameCube, PS2 and Xbox are on the way as web emulation matures). The dossier, media and community are already all yours.
