Bloody Roar 3 continues the proposal that made the saga famous: fighters capable of transforming at will into a beastly version -wolves, tigers, bats- which changes their moveset and hitting power mid-combat. The saga always held a cult position, a rung below the genre's big names but with a very distinct identity of its own, published by Hudson Soft.
For today's player, Bloody Roar 3 remains one of the most original offerings in PS2's fighting catalog: the transformation mechanic gives it a tactical layer that still feels fresh against the era's saturation of Street Fighter and Tekken clones.
