Developed by Relentless Software for Sony, it gathers a broad repertoire of general-knowledge questions with the formula that made the series popular in Europe: up to four players competing with dedicated buzzers, humorous virtual hosts, and a TV-show pace. It sat among the central installments of a saga that became synonymous with family game night on PS2.
It remains a clear example of how a well-designed accessory can sustain an entire genre: the Buzz! buzzer was, for years, a guarantee of a get-together with no need for split-screen.
