Buzz! was born in the United Kingdom as a way of turning the living room into a TV studio, with its characteristic large button-shaped controller and its virtual host conducting rounds of general-knowledge questions. This German edition adapted the question catalog to the local audience, keeping the formula intact.
It's one more of the many localizations the Buzz! saga rolled out across Europe, adapting the same game skeleton to the pop culture and current affairs of each country, which turned it into a social couch-gaming phenomenon in several PAL markets.
