Capcom Fighting Jam gathers in a single arena characters from several Capcom fighting sagas -Street Fighter III, Darkstalkers, Red Earth, Rival Schools, and Warzard among others- in a crossover designed to celebrate the Japanese company's fighting game catalog. Unlike other in-house crossovers, this one received a lukewarm reception: it was accused of feeling less polished than its original sources, with a roster mixing disparate animation styles.
Today it's remembered more as a curiosity within Capcom's history in the fighting genre than as a strong recommendation; it interests collectors and those who want to see how these sagas coexisted, with more or less friction, before the big crossovers that would come later.
