Circus Maximus - Chariot Wars took the player to the arenas of Imperial Rome to compete in chariot races where being the fastest wasn't enough to win: you had to ram, use weapons, and survive rivals willing to knock you off the track, in a mix of racing and combat that evoked both peplum cinema and the era's vehicular combat games. It's a niche title within PS2's racing catalog, fondly remembered by those seeking something different from the modern car simulators that dominated the genre.
