It's a modern revision of the original 1981 Defender, one of the pillars of horizontal scrolling shooters, brought into a three-dimensional format that updates graphics and level structure while keeping the essence of protecting surface humans from a constant wave of alien ships.
It's an attempt to give new life to an 80s classic for a PS2 audience used to other visual standards; today it mainly interests those following the history of classic-arcade reinterpretations.
This system doesn't run in the browser yet (Dreamcast, GameCube, PS2 and Xbox are on the way as web emulation matures). The dossier, media and community are already all yours.
