7th Dragon 2020 is a turn-based dungeon crawler directed by Kazuya Niinou for Sega, with art by Suzuhito Yasuda (Durarara!!) and a soundtrack by Yasunori Mitsuda (Chrono Trigger). The story unfolds in a Tokyo of the year 2020 ravaged by giant dragons, where the player builds a team of customizable hunters to explore dungeons and face down the beasts.
It's a direct heir to the Etrian Odyssey school in terms of exploration and difficulty, but with a more urban, contemporary tone. It never left Japan, so today it circulates mostly among players who already know the genre and want a fresh twist on the classic dungeon crawler.
