7th Dragon 2020-II wraps up the story Sega had kicked off in 7th Dragon 2020: a dungeon-crawling JRPG with character creation, turn-based combat, and art direction stamped by Kazuma Kaneko, the same designer behind the Shin Megami Tensei look, which gives the series a very recognizable visual identity within the genre.
It remained one of those niche JRPGs that never got an official release outside Japan, so its reputation rests mostly with people who closely follow Kaneko's work and the subgenre of Japanese dungeon crawlers from the PSP era.
