Astonishia Story began life as a fantasy JRPG developed in South Korea in the mid-nineties and, thanks to its strong local reception, saw successive versions and remakes over the years. The PSP edition revisits that foundation — turn-based combat, dungeons, a classic fantasy plot — with graphics refreshed for the handheld, and it arrived with English localization, something uncommon for a Korean-origin title of that era.
It's an interesting case within PSP's catalog because it represents the Korean RPG scene, far less visible in the West than the Japanese one, reaching an English-speaking audience directly. For anyone wanting to check out that South Korean RPG tradition, it's a reasonable entry point.
