Square Enix's Osaka team, now responsible for the entire series, told the founding tragedy of Kingdom Hearts: Terra, Aqua, and Ventus, ten years before Sora, across three intertwined campaigns that recontextualize everything. Its deck-based command system, with fusions and styles, delivers some of the most beloved combat in the franchise. Aqua ended up cemented as one of the saga's great characters.
