Goemon - Mononoke Sugoroku transplants Goemon, Ebisumaru, and friends into the sugoroku format, the Japanese equivalent of Snakes and Ladders: rolling dice, moving across squares, and navigating random events on a board, with the ghost and monster (mononoke) folklore that usually accompanies the saga as a thematic thread.
It's a minor spin-off made for short family matches, far removed from the action and platforming that characterize the main Goemon games. Like almost the entire franchise outside its flagship entries, it never left Japan.
