Action Biker was one of Mastertronic's budget hits of 1985, starring Clumsy Colin, the mascot of the British Skips snacks who also appeared in their TV commercials. The Atari 8-bit version shared its design with the Commodore 64 one -unlike the ZX Spectrum version, which was different- and carried music by Rob Hubbard, one of the era's most beloved composers.
It's a scrolling platformer with the logic of British budget games: cheap, straightforward, meant to sell for a few pounds at the counter of any shop. Its interest today is both nostalgic and musical, thanks to Hubbard's score.
