Fast Eddie is the platformer Mark Turmell designed for Sirius Software in 1982, published by Fox Video Games for the Atari 2600, Commodore 64, VIC-20, and Atari's 8-bit computers: the player has to make their way through a four-story building, collecting nine prizes and jumping obstacles until reaching the top, where the final trophy awaits. Turmell would go on, years later, to create some of the most influential arcade games of the '90s, including NBA Jam and Smash TV.
It's interesting to see, in this early work, the beginnings of that talent for direct, addictive design that would later define his career. As an early-'80s platformer, it's solid and to the point, with that escalating difficulty typical of the genre at the time.
