Switchblade II came out in 1992, developed by Optimus Software and published by Atari Corporation, adapting the sequel that Gremlin Graphics had released shortly before on computers like the Amiga: the warrior Hiro combines melee sword strikes with firearms to fight his way through sci-fi industrial settings, collecting weapon upgrades along the way. The constant action pace and weapon variety set it apart from the more measured approach of the first entry. It's one of the sturdiest European conversions in the Lynx catalog, representative of that constant exchange of licenses between the UK computer market and Atari's consoles in the early nineties.
