Baby Life puts the player in the role of caretaker for a virtual baby, with feeding, hygiene, and play tasks resolved through the DS touch screen and microphone, within the huge wave of raising and pet simulators the console accumulated after the success of Nintendogs.
Aimed at a mostly young, family audience, it doesn't aim for simulation depth but for conveying, in an accessible way, the routine of caring for a baby; it's one more piece — among many — of that well-populated niche in the console's European and American catalog.
