Backyard Football '09 continues the line of 'backyard' sports games Humongous Entertainment and later Atari developed for years: simplified American football rules, cartoonish child characters, and a difficulty tuned so any kid can build their team and play without friction. It's one of the series' last entries in the PS2 generation.
It remains a good entry point to the sport for younger audiences, with the extra appeal of nostalgia for those who grew up with the Backyard franchise in the 2000s.
This system doesn't run in the browser yet (Dreamcast, GameCube, PS2 and Xbox are on the way as web emulation matures). The dossier, media and community are already all yours.
