Backyard Football took the 'family-friendly' sports formula Humongous Entertainment had been polishing since the late '90s and brought it to PS2 with its recognizable style: big-headed characters, simplified rules, and a few cameos of future real stars depicted as children. It was, above all, a gateway into American football for young players. Today it works as a nostalgia capsule of the late-'90s-early-2000s era for those who grew up with the series, more than as a sports simulator anyone would seek out for tactical depth.
This system doesn't run in the browser yet (Dreamcast, GameCube, PS2 and Xbox are on the way as web emulation matures). The dossier, media and community are already all yours.
