Aka Zukin (Little Red Riding Hood in Japanese) is a late-80s action-platformer made exclusively for the Japanese market, where a heroine inspired by the classic tale crosses forests and fantasy dungeons fighting creatures with weapons picked up along the way. It's representative of that wave of Japanese action-platformers that mixed childlike aesthetics with demanding levels.
It never left Japan and today is practically unknown outside arcade board collector circles, but it retains the handcrafted charm of that decade's auteur platformers.
