Amidar is a 1982 maze game where the goal isn't eating dots but completing a grid's outline, painting each segment while dodging pursuers; the mechanic recalls Pac-Man in its chase but leans closer to Qix's spirit in its board-drawing. It had different licensed versions depending on the market. It's a clear example of early-80s experimentation, when the "pursuer in a maze" mold was still being redefined with its own rules at each studio.
