Athena no Hatena? is a 1993 arcade trivia game published by the Japanese firm Athena, part of the wave of quiz games that flourished in Japanese arcades in those years as a low-cost alternative to action titles. The mechanics are what you'd expect from the genre: general-knowledge multiple-choice questions with a pace built for short matches. It's a rare board even among collectors, with scant documentation available outside Japan: it's interesting more as a sample of a genre — the arcade quiz — that had its moment of local craze and almost never crossed borders.
