Block Hole is Konami's foray into the early-90s puzzle genre, with a mechanic centered on pushing blocks across a board until they fit into specific holes, adding obstacles and enemies that complicate the task as the screens progress. It came out in 1990, the same period when Konami produced several arcade puzzles with that same refined design pulse. It was largely overshadowed by other more remembered arcade puzzles of the era, but it retains that characteristic Konami care in difficulty tuning and clear board readability.
