Buggy Challenge is a racing arcade game Taito released in 1984, with an aerial view and control of an off-road buggy that must complete circuits while dodging obstacles and rivals, at a time when the arcade racing genre was still exploring different camera perspectives before the third-person rear view became standard.
It's a minor title within Taito's 80s racing catalog, but a good example of how the genre sought different control and perspective variants before standardizing.
