Despite the title borrowed from Ang Lee's film, this game has no relation whatsoever to Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon: it's an unofficial adaptation of SNK Playmore's The King of Fighters 2001, with the roster and combos tweaked and rebranded for the Southeast Asian pirate-board circuit of the early 2000s. This "alternate" variant is a different revision of that same unauthorized adaptation. It's a document of how Neo Geo board piracy worked in that decade: take a successful fighting game, dress it up, and give it a more sellable commercial name for the local audience, with no real connection to the license it invokes.
