Darkstalkers: The Night Warriors is the fighting game Capcom released in 1994, populating its roster with classic horror creatures —vampires, werewolves, mummies, zombies— using the same technical engine it had been polishing since Street Fighter II, but with even more fluid and expressive animation. It was the start of a saga that Capcom continued with Night Warriors: Darkstalkers' Revenge and Vampire Savior.
It's one of the most esteemed fighting proposals of the nineties outside the Street Fighter circuit, with memorable character design and an agile combat system that still holds a loyal audience today, especially in Japan, where the Vampire saga cultivated a particular cult following.
