Basic Math was part of the Atari 2600's original 1977 launch, back when the console was still called the Video Computer System and its catalog barely reached a dozen titles. It's literally what its name promises: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division exercises solved with the joystick, designed both to entertain and to justify the purchase to skeptical parents. Today it's an archaeological piece, more interesting as a historical document of home video gaming's birth than as a playable experience.
