Brain Games, programmed by Larry Kaplan and published by Atari in 1978, is a compilation of six memory minigames played with a twelve-button numeric keypad instead of the 2600's usual joystick. In Touch Me, for instance, you have to repeat a sequence of tones the console plays, each one tied to a different button. Years later it even got used as reference material in books about memory rehabilitation, an unexpected fate for a cartridge originally meant as family entertainment.
