Bubsy in Fractured Furry Tales came out in 1994, developed by Imagitec Design and published by Atari Corporation: it brings back the character Accolade had successfully launched on Super Nintendo and Genesis, and drops him into levels that parody traditional fairy tales, with the sarcastic humor and constant chatter that characterized the series. The 2D platforming leaned on the Jaguar's power to show bigger, more detailed settings than its 16-bit counterparts. It arrived, however, at a time when the Bubsy formula was already starting to wear thin with critics and audiences, so today it's remembered more as an attempt to capture a fashionable mascot than as a memorable entry in the Jaguar catalog.
