Fat Bobby was finished in 1993, but Telegames only put it on sale in 1997, already in the Lynx's final commercial gasps: it was developed by studio Lore Games Ltd, with a protagonist able to puff up like a balloon to glide over pits and enemies, a mechanic that gives it its own identity within the era's crowded platformer genre. The delay between development and release is as much a part of its story as the game itself. It's an example of those cartridges that got stranded in publishing limbo and ended up reaching the public years after being ready, when the console that housed them barely had a market left.
