Fight for Life came out in 1996, already in the Jaguar's last months of commercial life, developed and published by Atari Corporation itself: one-on-one fights with polygonal characters, in a late attempt to join the 3D fighting game craze that Virtua Fighter and Tekken had installed in the industry. Development, however, dragged on for years and reached the market with rough animations and imprecise controls. For much of retrospective criticism, it's one of the symbols of the Jaguar's twilight: an ambitious project that lack of time and resources ended up turning into a case study on developments that drag on far too long.
