FlipOut! arrived in 1995, developed by Gorilla Systems Corporation and published by Atari Corporation: the player controls a ball that travels across the surface of a polygonal cube or platform, flipping colored tiles as it passes until covering the entire board while dodging obstacles and enemies. The camera and three-dimensional perspective, uncommon in the era's puzzle genre, are its main identifying trait. It's one of the few technically ambitious puzzles the Jaguar received in its final stretch, and though it didn't achieve great commercial impact, it's remembered as an original idea within a catalog dominated by action.
