Gordo 106 came out in 1993, developed by Tenth Planet Software and published by Atari Corporation: the player controls the titular monkey, escaped from a testing laboratory, as he moves through industrial levels jumping between platforms, dodging traps, and confronting the staff trying to recapture him. Its light sci-fi tone and varied level design set it apart within the Lynx catalog's platformer genre. It's one of the most original protagonists the handheld had in its final years of commercial life, when Atari was still betting on adding its own mascots to compete with Nintendo's and Sega's.
